Top three platform points

1) Eliminate Hidden Course Fees: I will push to end additional costs for third-party proctoring and textbooks, ensuring the tuition you already pay covers the full cost of your learning.

2) Fix "Hell Week": I will advocate to move academic deadlines to the week after midterms, ending the burnout caused by clustering exams and assignments.

3) Standardize GenAI Guidelines: I’m fighting to end the use of unreliable AI detection in Policy 71 cases, ensuring students aren't unfairly penalized.

4) Fair International Tuition: I am pushing for predictable tuition and reasonable fee caps to protect international students from the mid-degree price spikes.

Reason why someone should vote for you in 100 words or less

Engineering is already hard enough without the University making it more difficult. I’m running for Senate to cut through the red tape that actually affects our lives. This year, I’ve already worked to keep the co-op fee hike at 2.4% because we shouldn't be paying more unless we get more.

From my time on the EngSoc Board to logging 400+ hours at WUSA, I’ve learned how to get results for students. I’m here to fix 'Hell Week', end unreliable AI detection, and stop hidden course fees. Let's make our time here better for us. Vote for Muhammad Kanji.

Top three platform points

1. Co-op requirements and costs that reflect student experience
2. Advocating for student experience during co-op and academic terms
3. Fair and transparent funding for engineering student events

Reason why someone should vote for you in 100 words or less

As an Electrical Engineering student actively involved in student life, I have seen firsthand how changes at the university impact students on both academic and co-op terms. Entering my third year, I have insight into upper-year student life and the co-op system, and I care deeply about how co-op requirements shape students’ academic paths and work-term experiences. I am committed to advocating for a more engaging and supportive student experience, while pushing for realistic and accessible academic supports during study terms.
