1. Standing Up for Students Through a WUSA Rent Tracker
Affordability is one of the biggest pressures students face, yet student voices are too often backed by anecdotes instead of evidence. I will work to launch a WUSA-led student rent tracker to bring transparency and real data into housing advocacy. By capturing rental trends, we can better support students navigating the housing market and push governments to act based on the realities students live every day.
2. Making Mental Health Funding Stable and Reliable
Students should never have to wonder whether the supports they rely on will still exist next year. I will advocate for stable, long-term mental health funding that protects existing services and expands access where demand continues to grow. Mental health must be treated as a core responsibility of the post-secondary system, not a short-term policy experiment.
3. Protecting Affordability in a Sustainable Post-Secondary System
The post secondary sector is currently under threat, with programs being discontinued and many more on the chopping block. I will fight for a post-secondary system that remains affordable and sustainable without shifting costs onto students. That means pushing for predictable public funding, student financial aid, protecting essential student services, and ensuring students remain at the centre of every policy discussion about the future of higher education.
Reason why someone should vote for you in 100 words or less
As a student leader I have worked continuously to support students throughout my time at university. This includes pushing for re-opening spaces such as the Bomber and “The Lounge on 3”, supporting student groups through increased funding both at Board and on SLEF, and advocating on behalf of students for increased student supports and changes to both government and university admin to better align policy with the needs of students. I hope to continue the work being done this year and continue to push for the expansion of the Bomber and SLC, ensure ongoing continuous funding for the PWYC program, and push for a degree tracking program.
