Reason why someone should vote for you in 100 words or less

I believe that each event that EngSoc presents is an opportunity to have a positive influence on a new group of students. By working with sub-societies/organizations who each have their own student bases, we can increase our outreach towards students. Though ideas can be common to candidates, my ability to deal with high pressure situations in a calm and collected manner will be key for tasks associated with the VPSL role. Beyond this, I currently lead the largest team of directors in the VPSL portfolio and have fostered strong communication within my team, something I plan on continuing to do.

Reason why someone should vote for you in 100 words or less

I have two years of experience running events, and not just for EngSoc. I have been the Social and Events Commissioner for two terms and been involved with bringing events back in-person ever since Fall 2022, I have seen the evolution of our events first hand. I have a long list of ideas I've expressed as part of my initial speech and answers on the EngSoc Discord's election QnA which I believe are feasible and actionable. I believe that there is urgent need for major change in how we run events or we might never be able to address our falling levels of engagement and I believe I am the best person to herald said change as someone whose been involved across the university in many different capacities with a wide range of experiences which help me understand and adapt to changing circumstances. I want to make the Engineering Society a household name for all engineering students at Waterloo.
